ResLife Finances Paid

HOA Bank Integrations

The Statement Arrives
Before Anyone Asks for It.

Every transaction on the association’s accounts reaches the ledger on its own: automatic bank statement imports through Plaid, remittance files from your lockbox applied to the right unit, and a custom connection to your bank of record on request. Operating and reserve stay in separate accounts, as the statute assumes.

No credit card. Nothing to migrate.

A month of bank activity, untouched by hand

  1. ResLife Imports each day’s statement lines through Plaid
  2. ResLife Applies the lockbox remittance file to the units that paid by check
  3. ResLife Keeps operating and reserve in their own accounts and balances
  4. You Glance at the Docket for anything it could not place
  5. ResLife Hands the matched lines to Bank Reconciliation

One step is yours, and most months it is empty.

What reconciliation does next

Why It Matters

The Bank Always
Knows First.

The books are only as current as the last statement somebody keyed in. Until then a treasurer is signing a balance that was true two weeks ago, a batch of checks sits in a drawer waiting to be entered, and the month cannot close because nobody has seen it yet. The bank had every one of those lines the day they happened.

Automatic Statement Imports

Connected Once,
Current Every Morning.

Connect the association’s operating and reserve accounts and the statement lines arrive automatically through Plaid. Each fund keeps its own account and its own balance. Nothing is downloaded, nothing is keyed, and the ledger stops being a week behind the bank.

  • Automatic bank statement imports through Plaid
  • Operating and reserve held in separate accounts, separate balances
  • Every imported line carries its date, payee and amount into reconciliation

Connecting an account

  1. You Choose the bank and sign in through Plaid
  2. ResLife Links the account to the right fund
  3. ResLife Imports the statement lines from that day on

Two minutes, once.

See it reconcile

A lockbox batch

  1. ResLife Imports the remittance file
  2. ResLife Matches each payment to its unit and invoice
  3. You Resolve the one it could not place, if there is one

The batch is applied before you have read the email about it.

How collections work

Lockbox and Check Payments

Friday’s Check Batch,
Applied by Friday Lunch.

A lockbox takes the checks; it does not know your units. ResLife imports the remittance file and applies each payment to the right unit automatically, so an owner who pays by post shows up beside the owners who paid online, with the same late-fee clock and the same statement.

  • Remittance files imported and applied to the unit, not a suspense account
  • Check payers and online payers share one receivable and one owner statement
  • No separate batch to key on a Friday afternoon

Your Bank of Record

Keep Your Bank.
We Build the Connection.

Some associations bank where Plaid does not reach, and some firms have a bank of record they are not going to change for software. A custom integration is available upon request and approval for your bank of choice, so the connection is built to the account you keep rather than the other way round.

  • Custom integration available upon request and approval
  • Built for your bank of record, not a substitute for it
  • Same daily import, same fund separation once connected

Requesting a custom connection

  1. You Name the bank and the accounts
  2. ResLife Reviews and approves the request
  3. ResLife Builds and connects the import
  4. You Carry on banking where you always have

The bank does not move. The data does.

What Changes

Close the Month
the Week It Ends.

When every bank line is already in the ledger, closing is reading, not typing. The treasurer signs a balance that is true today, and the board packet goes out on time.

Asked Before Connecting.

Which banks can ResLife connect to?

Automatic bank statement imports run through Plaid, which covers most banks and credit unions in the United States. If the association’s bank of record is not available through Plaid, a custom integration is available upon request and approval, so the bank you already use stays the bank you use.

Do we have to change banks to use ResLife Finances?

No. Operating and reserve accounts stay where they are. Transactions arrive through Plaid where the bank supports it, and through a custom integration, arranged on request and approval, where it does not.

How does HOA lockbox payment processing work with ResLife?

The remittance file from your lockbox is imported and each payment is applied to the right unit automatically, so an owner who pays by check lands in the same ledger, on the same day, as the owners who paid online. Nothing is keyed by hand.

Are operating and reserve accounts kept separate?

Yes. Each fund keeps its own bank account and its own balance in the ledger, which is what the statute assumes and what a reserve study relies on. A transfer between them is recorded as a transfer, tied to the expenditure that justified it.
